From a Tree to a Classroom: Gunasundari’s Journey with Out-of-School Children
Gunasundari, once a dropout herself, began teaching under a tree through a local initiative. When it ended, she continued the mission with ADRA India, which entered the community during a flood response and saw her potential to bring children back to school.

Kajan, with 17 years, is a spastic child from Puzhal SLR camp in Tamil Nadu, living with his parents Ms. Jothi Lakshmi and Mr. Kumar. Since he was a young child Kajan did not respond well and only when he was two years old his parents diagnosed him as a Mental Retardation- Cerebral Palsy Child.

Teacher’s Training on Hygiene Education
ADRA India as part of the project Dettol Banega Swachh India completed the training of teachers on hygiene in 178 government schools in 4 blocks of Varanasi, and started the training in the 22 private schools.
