ADRA's RESPONSE

Who is Affected?

The floods in Punjab have severely impacted farming families, daily wage earners, and rural households who depend on agriculture and livestock for survival. Women, children, and the elderly remain the most vulnerable, struggling with hunger, unsafe drinking water, and overcrowded relief camps. Schools have closed, cutting children off from education and mid-day meals, while displaced families continue to live in uncertainty.

Current Challenges

  • Food insecurity
  • Unsafe drinking water
  • Overcrowded and unsafe relief camps
  • Health service gaps
  • Livestock crisis
  • Infrastructure collapse
  • Vector infestations
