- As part of the program and the curriculum of community service and urban ministries of the International Institute of Christian Ministries (IICM), a Community Service Forum was organized.
- The purpose of this event is part of a global strategy to promote community service among adventist church leaders in different parts of the world so that they learn how to develop projects.
- To provide support to this event the Country Director of ADRA India Rafael Garcia participated giving 3 presentations with the topics of writing proposals, fundraising and disaster preparedness.

Gaya, is one of the district in Bihar, which is infested by the Naxal problem, apart from other vulnerabilities of nature, life in rural areas are especially health indicators are not very robust. Gaya has also been quite a bit of challenge for TB care and control due to myriad factors.
World Vision has been supporting ADRA India financially &technically through its Axshya project to work in most outreach parts of Gaya ( infested with Naxal and where health facilities accessibilities are minimal) to work with communities to empower them so that there are better community involvement in development efforts.

“Abdul Satar” a 28 year old young man, popularly known as Pagal in Bandali Village of Barpeta District in Assam has learning impairment for which people call him Pagal (local term used for people having mental health problem). He lives with his mother and younger brother in a very small thatched house. His father died many years ago. The younger brother got married and is the bread winner for the whole family with the little income through labour work. The family and villagers believe that Abdul cannot do anything and make fun of him.

One of the latest projects ADRA India is implementing is the so-called 10 + Plan. This is a plan that gives each of the Seventh-day Adventist Church attendants the opportunity to participate in this humanitarian adventure every week by giving a donation of 10 rupees or more to support ADRA India ministry of behalf of the most vulnerable.
The main goal of this plan is to allow ADRA India to work closer with the Seventh day Adventist Church constituency in such a way that each member can become acquainted with the work, activities and mission of ADRA in the country while humanitarian culture is being seeded in their heart.
